As someone who loves the water, I couldn't be more excited to be involved with the Barracudas Swim Club as the Head Coach. My aquatic experience includes 10 years as a competitive swimmer, years of lifeguard and swim instructor experience, playing water polo for Canada’s National Teams and University of Hawaii at the NCAA level. I have coached water polo in both Innisfail and Calgary.
Most recently I have spent most of my time 100 feet under the water with my advanced diver certification! I am looking forward to the fun and excitement of this 2025/2026 season. See you all at the pool!
With eight years of experience as a competitive swim coach, I am passionate about teaching the development skills necessary for success in the sport and take great pride in witnessing my swimmers' progress.
Outside of coaching, I enjoy spending my free time camping, hiking, and paddle boarding. I also cherish walks with my dog, Jasper, who is always up for an adventure.
Hello Everyone!
I started my swimming journey at the age of 11. After failing my Red Cross (red level) swim lessons 3 tries in a row, my Mom decided that our local swim club in our neighbouring community was our answer. Over the years in competitive swimming, I earned many provincial medals and a Gold in 100m Breaststroke. At 16, I proudly represented a region of Alberta at the Alberta Summer Games.
For the past 3 years, I have served as the Rocky Barracuda Swim Club President, and last year coached alongside Amy and Leah.
It was incredible to see the swimmers race and improve throughout the season. My aim as an instructor is to give all swimmers opportunities for growth and success as individuals, and as a team.
We are looking forward to an amazing year in the water!
